Instrument cluster installed!

This weekend I spent a lot of time with the Fasback. I installed the instruments, changed the oil for the first time on the new engine, checked and repaired the horn - as it it didn't work anymore and found the cause for the annoying knock in the front beam... A clamp screw for a ball joint got lose and moved up and down in the spindle!

Oil pressure sender installed:

the vehicle side harness, ready for final assembly:

This is the final installment of the instruments:
It is a bit hidden, but when I am in the driver seat I can perfectly observe what is going on.

Vital signs

With a "hot" motor, it is important to know what is going on inside. The oil temperature and pressure are the vital signs of each motor. So I ordered a set of gauges from Werk 34 - for a real competetive price! and a gauge pod I found on e(vil)bay to mount it into the Volksback:

This will be attached below the radio, so it is not THAT obvious, but I can take a look, whenever I want

All electrical connections are routed to a single 6 pin connector, so I can remove it easily for service - or when it has to be hidden for any reason!
