Bevor ich die Karosserie zur Lackiererei bringe ist noch das Eine oder Andere zu tun. Heute habe ich das ausgetrennte Knotenblech wieder eingeschweisst und ein paar Gewindenieten eingezogen, da der Reproschweller keine Einschweißmuttern für die Kotflügelbefestigung hat.
Before the body goes to the body + paint shop there were some minor things left. Today I rewelded a reinforcement plate back on, which had to be temporarily removed to repair the inner air scoop.
As the repro rocker panel didn't incorporate the weld nuts to fix the lower portions of the front and rear wings, I had to install some nice rivet nuts.

Damit schaffe ich Abhilfe - Eine Gewindenietzange - Danke an Ralf! ... - here is the relief - a rivet nut tool, thanks to Ralf!

Wenn alles ausgerichtet ist, sollte es perfekt passen ... - later on when everything is aligned properly it should be a perfect fit!
Hinten das gleiche Spiel, hier benötigt man 2 Gewinde ... - same story in the rear, here are 2 inserts to install
Etwas Zinkspray in den Bohrungskanten sollte den ersten Rost abwehren ... - a little zinc spray should help to prevent rust - hopefully!
